Always remember that there is no plan that covers every aspect of your car and there will always be some items excluded in this plan, but this bumper to bumper coverage is comprehensive at its best.
- Powertrain limited warranty
The Limited Powertrain Warranty for Chevrolet vehicles ranges up to 5 years or 60000 miles, whichever arrives first. What is covered under Chevy powertrain warranty entails all the components that establish the powertrain and the associated parts, like the engine, drive systems, transfer case, and transmission or transaxle. Chevrolet also provides warranty especially for engine coverage.
- Corrosion warranty
Chevrolet’s corrosion warranty bestows sheet metal protection for up to 3 years or 36000 miles, whichever arrives first. The rust coverage tends to run for 6 years or 100,000 miles. Keep in mind that the cosmetic or surface corrosion caused by stone chips or scratches on the paint are not covered in this very warranty.
- Accessory warranty
Almost every General Motors accessory is covered under the powertrain Chevrolet warranty or bumper to bumper, however, those components and aspects that aren’t under the 12 months or unlimited mile warranty. If you buy an accessory separately or if it doesn’t need any kind of installation, then the warranty is for 12 months from the date of purchase.
- Emissions control system warranty

When it comes to cars and light duty trucks, the warranty is for two years or 24000 miles and 8 years or 80000 miles when it comes to catalytic converter and other components. Vehicles that have a GVMR or Gross Vehicle Weight Rating more than 8,500 lb. are covered for 5 years or 50000 miles.
