The event will be held in the city's historic Lincoln Park, with a 1.8-mile walking course that, among the tree-lined greenery, will include exclusive activities for Pokemon Trainers of all ages.

After a disastrous inaugural event previous year in Chicago, Niantic has announced plans to bring Pokémon GO Fest back to the city this summer July 14 and 15, this time at Lincoln Park.

The Pokémon Go Fest 2018 is detailed as "A Walk in the Park in Chicago" and that's precisely what players will be doing during this full weekend celebration this July. After settling a lawsuit that essentially resulted in all players receiving a refund for their tickets (and transportation for many), Niantic has set up a new location for Pokemon Go fans to gather. As of the time of this writing, it's unknown what special offers or Pokemon will be made available to attendees, however, Niantic did say that the event will "offer a unique, immersive play experience unseen anywhere else".

The third event that the developers have announced is a second Safari Zone in Yokosuka, Japan.

Those who wish to be present for Pokemon GO Fest 2018 will be able to lock in their attendance soon enough, as Niantic is prepared to make single-day passes available on May 11, with the company selling them for $20 apiece. While the event will be hosted in Westfalenpark, activities connected to the event will be spread throughout Dortmund's entire city district. Niantic will also continue to hold Community Days throughout the summer. Safari Zone Dortmund is set to take place June 30 and July 1. Unlike the Chicago event, Dortmund's will be free.
