Pelicans Climb back into the Series with a Dominate win over Warriors

NBA Playoffs Houston Rockets star James Harden lashes out at Utah Jazz fan after'worst flopper jibe

The second-seeded Golden State Warriors are on the road looking to put a stranglehold on their series with the sixth-seeded New Orleans Pelicans in Game 3 of their best of seven series Friday night. Leading by 14 at one point, they shot 5 for 25 in the fourth quarter of a game they seemed to have won. He did, giving the Pelicans a 108-105 lead.

After two relatively routine wins in Oakland, the Warriors were smashed by the Pelicans 119-100 on Friday night in New Orleans, behind a 33 point, 18 rebound performance by Anthony Davis. As a team, the Rockets drilled 11 3s and forced 18 Jazz turnovers on the way to a 113-88 win to take a 2-1 series lead.

"He's as hard-headed as they are", said Pelicans' coach Alvin Gentry about Rondo.

"I would say it played out as I expected", he said.

Curry's return makes a Warriors team that went 5-1 this postseason without him all the more unsafe.

Long before tipoff, Stephen Curry swished his routine tunnel shot on the second try. He hit a 3-pointer 11 seconds after checking in, and went on to score 28 points in 27 minutes. We're all exhausted of talking about it. Let's hope we see better work from the on court officiating trio tonight. "When you're back at home and the crowd's behind you, you play with a lot more confidence".

Despite the loss, there was some reason for encouragement in the New Orleans camp as it only lost by five points as opposed to 22 points in Game 1.

After dropping Game 3, the Warriors look to bounce back in Game 4 against the Pelicans on Sunday. "Their defense was great, they were the aggressors". "These are the ebbs and flows of a playoff series, especially when you get past the first round". The ball dropped softly through the net as it cut the Warriors deficit to just two points, 107-105. But if you get all eight right, you will split a prize of thousands of dollars in Under Armour store credit, as well as eligibility for the day's raffle of additional prizing - which includes pairs of the new Curry 5 sneaker and tickets to Warriors playoff games.

Lou Lamoriello will not return as GM
Reports said the Leafs had spoken to Futa in the past about their GM position, and he was also named in the Sabres' search. Under Lamoriello's guidance, the Maple Leafs went 118-95-33 over the last three seasons.

Davis and the Pelicans may not end up winning this series, but they certainly are proving that they should be taken seriously as contenders.

Andre Iguodala converted a snazzy three-point play with 6:41 left when he flipped the ball up and it came back down and through the net as he was fouled by Rondo, then Golden State pulled away.

"It's kind of just how I am", Rondo said about his competitive nature.

"Guys made shots, that was the difference maker", Davis told ESPN after the game. Scratch that, they were THE best team in regards to game pace. The teams have gone over the total in each of their last four meetings overall and in four of the last five in New Orleans.

The Warriors usually are in an offensive flow that turns into a tsunami. "They made shots tonight".

Klay Thompson led the Warriors in the scoring column, netting 26 points. We were able to come out with the win.

Golden State allows the fewest blocks per game (3.6) while New Orleans ranks fourth (4.3).
