Kenilworth superintendent pooped on Holmdel track daily, cops say
The mystery man who had been defecating on a New Jersey high school football field was arrested after being caught in the act on surveillance video.
According to police, a school resource officer and staffers at Holmdel High School began surveiling the track after learning that someone was leaving feces on the track and football field "on a daily basis". While they did not explicitly mention the pooping, they said that Tramaglini has been placed on paid administrative leave.
Thomas Tramaglini, 42, lives about 3 miles from Holmdel High School in neighboring Aberdeen. The district said unpaid leave would only occur, "in the face of indictments or tenure charges". He was running at the track on the athletic fields at 5:50 a.m. before he was arrested.
"The Board of Education wants to assure faculty and staff, students and parents, that the district will continue its responsibilities without interruption", Kenilworth Public Schools said in part of a written statement.
Mr Tramaglini is charged with lewdness, littering and defecating in public. He's due in court this Monday. He worked in the Freehold Borough and Plumsted districts before coming to Kenilworth.
Tramaglini is also a part-time lecturer for the Rutgers Graduate School of Education, according to public records. It was not immediately known if he had an attorney to comment on his behalf.
