Philips Hue already lets people create customized color schemes through its line of smart bulbs inside the home.
"The Philips Hue outdoor range enables you to make the most of your outside areas, be it creating the ideal ambiance to host a BBQ at the weekend or beautifying your garden."
Consumers can extend their Philips Hue smart lighting experience to any outdoor area, from the driveway and the front door to their backyard, with the new line of light bulbs, wall-mounted fixtures, low-voltage spots and path lights. The Hue white and color ambiance range is based on a plug and play system, making installation easy and allowing for full flexibility to position wherever you need light. The outdoor light choices will include both white and white and color options at various price points, starting at $29.99 and going up to nearly $300.

The Philips Hue Lily spotlight, one of several new options for smart outdoor lighting coming this summer. You can also use the app's Home & Away function to set up loction-based routines, so, for instance, your outdoor lights automatically switch on when you're about to arrive home. With the Hue app, you can choose from 16 million different colors for your lights to shine. Another new light, Calla, is designed for path lighting. Another bulb, the Calla (see the theme?), is priced at $129.99 and is meant to be installed in walkways and paths. The outdoor range will go on sale in the US and Europe starting this July.
Less details are available for the Philips Hue White range however prices start from £62. Philips isn't going into detail today, but further products named Lucca, Tuar, Turaco and Ludere will be unveiled at an event on March 19. United States only: the PAR38 lamp will retail for Dollars 29.99 for a single pack and double pack for Dollars 49.99.
