MSU sophomore wing Miles Bridges announced Wednesday on Twitter he will not return to play for the Spartans next season and rather enter the 2018 National Basketball Association draft and sign with an agent.
A 6-foot-5 guard/forward, Ball has only a year's worth of experience in Lithuania, posting a league-best 15.7 points and 2.9 rebounds while shooting 45 percent from long range in nine league games in the first-division.
Porter is projected as a top-three pick in this year's draft, with NBADraft.net now slotting him in the No. 3 spot to Atlanta.
If they don't take Gelo this year, I bring back Gelo here to play with Melo for two years. He thanked his family, coaches, school and Bruins fans for their support.
Miles has signed with agent Rich Paul from Klutch Sports of Cleveland. "That was my only goal for this year, and I'm sad I couldn't do it, but life goes on".
Bridges helped MSU to a Big Ten regular season title, however the Spartans didn't make it far in the NCAA Tournament falling out in the Round of 32 with a 55-53 loss to No. 11 seed Syracuse. "He's given us everything we could ask for and so much more".
The middle of the three Ball brothers has played well in his time in Lithuania. More than anything, he conducted himself with the utmost class and humility.
Bridges was also expected to depart East Lansing a year ago following a standout freshman season that had him pegged as a first-round pick in the 2017 NBA Draft. His.854 (105-for-123) free throw percentage led the league and ranks 60th nationally and he set the school single-game record with 10 3-pointers in WSU's victory over California, Jan. 13.
