Ex-NBA Player Glen Davis Arrested After He Was Caught Selling Drugs Out of A Hampton Inn
It's been reported that former National Basketball Association player Glen "Big Baby" Davis was arrested last month in Maryland on drug possession and distribution charges. He played in the NBA from 2007-'15, winning an NBA Championship with the Boston Celtics in 2008.
Glen Davis made $35 million during his National Basketball Association career, but guess that wasn't enough as he tried to be Frank Lucas at the Hampton Inn.
According to a police report and court records obtained by WMAR's Brian Kuebler, the owner knocked on Davis' door but someone inside the room told the owner to "f*** off".
Aberdeen Police was called by the owner due to the abusive response from inside the room.
Aberdeen police then responded to the hotel and Davis consented to have his room searched.
Aberdeen Police Lieutenant William Reiber says Davis had 126 grams of marijuana on him, along with $92,164 in a briefcase and a "ledger that contained language which is consistent with someone involved in the sale and distribution of narcotics".
It all resulted Davis' arrest followed by an indictment weeks later on seven counts of drug possession and distribution. In a video that seems to have been recorded from an airplane, Davis sits next to a briefcase of cash, shows off his 2008 National Basketball Association championship ring, eats Popeye's and confidently proclaims, "I will have my day in court". Unfortunately, that's where the good tidings end.
It's been a tough fall from grace for your boy Big Baby.
