'Fortnite' Gets Xbox One Cross-Platform Support
On the Epic Games website it says 'We expect to rollout Android in the next few months'. EpicGames has now opened up invitations to their Fortnite Mobile gaming on the Apple iOS platform. Regardless of your platform of choice, here's who you can - and can't - play Fortnite with.
With a partnership with Sony, "Fortnite" will also support cross-platform play between PlayStation 4, PC, Mac, iOS, and Android. While mobile games do not usually have a cross-play with the PC servers, "Fornite" mobile will actually have support for cross-play with the PC.
Once you signup, you will then have to wait until invites are sent out via email, which Epic has stated should be sent out "soon". "We've been cooperating with them throughout the most recent a while to make this conceivable, and will expedite this usefulness to Fortnite players Xbox ideal alongside different stages".
It's already available on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Windows and Mac computers, and last week Epic Games announced it would be coming to mobile too. It's still disappointing that the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game do not have that functionality with each other, but something is better than nothing, right?
