Roy Moore accuser Tina Johnson 'loses everything' after home burns down in suspected arson
Authorities in Alabama said Friday they had launched an arson investigation after the home of a woman who accusedRoy Moore of groping her almost two decades ago burned to the ground Wednesday. On Nov. 9, The Washington Post published an extensive report detailing allegations that Moore pursued relationships with teenage girls, including a 14-year-old when he was 32.
Johnson, who is now staying at a motel, told AL.com that neighbors noticed a young man with a history of public intoxication near the house before and during the fire.
A spokesman for the Etowah County Sheriff's Department said the fire is under investigation by the Arson Task Force, but no charges have been filed.
I am devastated, just devastated.
Al.com reported that the family wasn't hurt as Johnson and her husband were at work and her grandson was at school during the blaze. Johnson and her family said they lost everything they owned. We have just the clothes on our backs, ' she said.
"It's too coincidental to me, but whatever they say, I'll go with".
Moore, she said, grabbed her buttocks so hard she could feel the "dents of his fingers".
He lost the special election to Democrat Doug Jones on December 12, turning Alabama blue from red for the first time in 25 years.
Despite being backed wholeheartedly by President Trump throughout his campaign and dismissing the allegations against him as false, Moore could not overcome them.
"I was so humiliated and sickened", she said.
Johnson is among the women who publicly accused Moore of sexual misconduct.
