Tom Brady threw two touchdown passes and Dion Lewis scored twice to lead New England past NY for the second time this season. Safety Marcus Maye was called for a 39-yard pass interference penalty early in the second quarter that set up a 5-yard TD pass from Brady to Cooks that made it 14-3. It was only the third time in his career that he was blanked for a game that he played in. Brady closed down the opening drive by completing six consecutive passes for 50 yards, including four for 43 yards to Danny Amendola, and Lewis gave the Patriots a 7-0 lead with a 3-yard scoring run.

Bill Belichick is cold - ice cold.

James Harrison, signed this week after being released by the Steelers, recorded sacks on the games final two plays, forcing a fumble on his first sack that was recovered by NY. Still, New York had a mere 40 yards on the ground and Bryce Petty had just 232 yards through the air.

New York, which had recently extended the contracts of Head Coach Todd Bowles and GM Mike Maccagnan, was looking to place a roadblock in New England's plan for playoff home-field advantage. New England got into the end zone three plays later via another 5-yard TD pass, this time from Brady to Lewis. Cooks and the Patriots have a first-round bye to open the playoffs.

Meghan Markle On Her New Year's Resolutions
Kensington Palace announced Harry and Meghan are to get married on 19 May 2018 at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. Samantha, who denies a rift with her much more famous half-sister, has called Meghan "absolutely lovely".

Rob Gronkowski, who played sparingly, wasn't targeted with a pass for the first time in his career and finished the season with 69 catches, 1,084 yards and eight touchdowns, so he earned $8.75 million of a possible $10.75 million in incentive-based salary.

A thermometer was hung in the Jets' tunnel on Sunday.

It was the coldest regular-season home game in Patriots history.

The Jets would add a field goal in the fourth quarter to make the score 24-6.
