15-Year-Old Indian Girl Killed In Horrific Gang Rape
When the girl's mother came home, she found her daughter in severely injured condition. The father of the victim has urged the administration to help them to save the girl child.
The official said she was abducted by two men on Saturday evening when she had gone out of her house to throw garbage in the village dumpyard.
Police in India have launched two separate investigations after two young girls were brutally gang raped and killed in a matter of days. In one case, the private parts and internal organs of the 15-year-old victim were inflicted with wounds, while in another the accused committed necrophilia on the minor victim of 11 years.
In Faridabad district of Haryana, a 22-year-old woman, who was returning home from work on Sunday evening, was kidnapped and gang-raped by four men in a moving vehicle for nearly two hours, an NDTV report said.
Police sources said they could not rule out "honour killing" as a reason behind the twin murders.
Police said that it is believed at least four people were involved in her rape and torture.
In the wake of recent incidents of rape and murders being reported from different parts of Haryana, DGP B S Sandhu yesterday held a meeting with senior officers of the police department and asked field units to accord priority to the cases.
Authorities say both men have since been charged with kidnapping, rape and murder. Such incidents have been taking place since forever. The incident triggered nationwide outrage, with the Opposition Congress slamming the Manohar Lal Khattar Government over its alleged failure to ensure safety and security of women. "While the number of crime cases against women increased from 9,010 to 9,839 in three years (since 2014), the national figures declined marginally from 3,23,469 to 3,22,949 in the corresponding period", said Mr. Hooda.
Responding to the incidents, former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Sunday said there was a complete breakdown of law and order in the state.
