'Explain what I'm detained for.
Comedian Hannibal Buress found himself in a not-so-amusing situation when he was arrested in Miami after a confrontation with police.
"What am I detained for?"
Onlookers asked the cops what property he was trespassing on and who called them, but they didn't respond. "You don't have probable cause for anything and you're hella stupid right now".
After one cop accuses him of being hard, Buress can be heard laughing and declaring, "He's just salty because I roasted his ass". "I'm just chilling. He's just salty because I roasted his ass". "Take the handcuffs off of me, I didn't do anything, I'm not getting in your auto", he said. "I didn't do anything and I'm not getting into your vehicle".
Hannibal Buress in his mugshot. The Twitter page for the Police Department of Miami wrote that the comic was arrested for "disorderly intoxication" on the 9th of December around 10:30 pm.
According to police records obtained by The Miami Herald, Buress was booked into a Miami-Dade jail at 1:57 a.m. and posted bail around 6 a.m. The Herald reports that the arrest took place at Northwest Second Avenue and 20th Street, in Wynwood.
However, Miami Beach is hosting the Art Basel global art fair this weekend, which draws celebrities from around the world. The officer said Buress then went into a bar, and the officer asked him to leave, saying he was too drunk. After the officer reportedly refused, the 34-year-old comedian reportedly began yelling profanities. "For what?" Buress yells in the video.
The performer lives in Chicago, and it is unclear why he was in Miami at the time of his arrest.
Officers accuse him of trespassing, but refuse to say where he was trespassing or who is pressing charges against him, video shows. "Especially during #ArtBasel", Corben tweeted Sunday morning.
