Apple's Latest iMac Pro Will Be Available in Malaysia Starting from Tomorrow

Like the iPhone X launch, Apple is letting YouTubers try out the new iMac Pro before every other tech publications.

If early reviews are anything to go on, Apple has definitely focused on power. Put your worries to rest, since Apple has now updated the iMac Pro's Web page to indicate that it will be available on 14 December 2017.

The iMac Pro was first announced back at WWDC in June, with Apple touting its 27in, 5K display, Radeon Vega graphics and a monstrous Intel Xeon CPU with up to 18 cores (8, 10 and 18 are all available) as flawless for those professionals who need some extra oomph without having to wait for the Mac Pro, due to launch next year. The iMac shown in the video happens to be a 10-core iMac Pro and if you want to get your hands on the14-core or the 18-core, you'll have to wait until the next year.

From professional engineers to videographers, those who expect a lot out of their machines have had nothing but good things to say about the new iMac Pro. You'll also find four USB 3.0 Type-A ports, 10Gb Ethernet, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and an SDXC card slot. "This will be our fastest and most powerful Mac ever, which brings workstation-class computing to iMac for the first time", said John Ternus, Apple's vice president of hardware engineering at the event. The iMac Pro also gets the latest Radeon Pro Vega GPU with base variant getting Vega 56 GPU wih 8GB of video memory.

With an all-flash architecture and all-new thermal design, iMac Pro delivers up to 80 percent more cooling capacity in the same thin and seamless iMac design.

Apple will give customers the choice to buy the iMac Pro with an 8-, 10-, or 18-core processor. The device also is capable of featuring up to a very decent 128GB of 2666MHz DDR4 ECC RAM which will help in the creation of next-generation Virtual Reality or VR-based content. Apple is yet to unveil detailed pricing for the other models.

All of that comes in a Space Gray body, along with Space Gray accessories. Or at least you will be able to come December the 14th, when the iMac Pro officially launches from - brace yourself - US$4999.

Additional specs include a 1080p front-facing camera, quad microphones, Bluetooth 4.2 and built-in 802.11ac Wi-Fi.

Given what's inside the iMac Pro, however, I can't see anybody using one and feeling like they don't have quite enough power under the hood.
