Tottenham vs Real Madrid: Kane expected to feature in Champions League clash
Spurs striker, Harry Kane has returned to training ahead of Tottenham's Champions League clash against Real Madrid on Wednesday.
Spurs are third in the Premier League, eight points behind leaders Manchester City and level with Real at the top of their Champions League pool.
England worldwide Kane missed Tottenham's 1-0 loss to Premier League rivals Manchester United on Saturday due to a hamstring injury.
"With the doctors and the player, we will take the best decision for everyone", Pochettino said when asked by reporters about Kane's mid-week return. My feeling is good. "We can't let (the United defeat) knock us back".
Pochettino's side played in a positive manner in during the tie in Madrid, and he expressed a desire to approach this game in a similar fashion, adding: "Of course, it's a game that you must be fearless". It's impossible to compare this game to the Champions League. We must play with freedom and enjoy the game.
"Obviously when you lose its never good, the whole dressing room is going through a bad moment in that sense, but in fact we can use that as motivation to bounce back and end the little stumbling run we've had".
Unfortunately for Spurs, things did not go according to plan, with a late Anthony Martial goal condemning them to defeat.
"That's football. Everyone can play (how) they want to play". It's not just me saying that, the results speak for themselves. We must remember that we must play with freedom and enjoy the game, because if not this, it is hard to show your real quality. They backed up a 3-0 win at home to Apoel Nicosia with a 3-1 victory away to Borussia Dortmund before drawing at home to Tottenham. It's a great stage to play football. Hamstrings take a long time to settle down fully, even if he does feel fit to play.
Ronaldo and Kane: "They are two incredible players". I think that game gave us a lot of confidence going into this game, and as well the other games this season.
