Santa Claus to make trip from North Pole to the Prairies

The parade gets underway at around 12:30 p.m.at Christie Pits Park and will run eastbound along Bloor Street, southbound on Queen's Park Crescent/ University Avenue and then eastbound on Wellington Street West/Front Street East. "They keep coming back because of the magic of Santa".

Thompson said there is still room in the parade for more floats.

Thousands of people are watching The Original Santa Claus Parade as it makes its way along the 6.5 kilometre route downtown. "Every place is a front row seat".

Brewster says some new businesses have entered the parade this year.

"We have a lot of new things this year", she said.

"We're expecting probably a record (number of floats)".

The annual Tomah Holiday Parade is set for Friday, Nov. 24 at 7 p.m.

The parade is featuring at least 25 floats and 21 marching bands. The event will wrap up outside the St. Lawrence Market building at around 3 p.m.

Bloor Street West, from Christie Street to Bathurst Street, at 10 a.m.

Paris: The parade happens December 2 at 6 p.m. downtown, beginning on William Street.

Food trucks and Porta Potties will be located north of Jasper Avenue at 105 Street in Beaver Hills Park and south of Jasper Avenue near 102 Street.

Smithville: The 27th annual parade happens November 25 at 2 p.m. with a North Pole theme.
