A former longtime Boston television news anchor is planning to hold a press conference accusing Kevin Spacey of sexually assaulting an 18-year-old family member.

At the time of the alleged incident, Unruh's son did not report it "largely because of embarrassment and fear", she said.

Unruh is planning to hold a news conference with attorney Mitchell Garabedian in Boston at 11.30am to discuss her claims. "Kevin Spacey bought him drink after drink after drink, and when my son was drunk, Spacey made his move and sexually assaulted him".

A lawyer for Spacey didn't immediately return an email Wednesday.

Spacey says he is now "taking the time necessary to seek evaluation and treatment" after the latest round of sex assault allegations and DailyMail.com has learned that he has checked into The Meadows facility in Arizona, the same facility where Harvey Weinstein has sought treatment.

Unruh said her son "is committed to doing what he can to stop Kevin Spacey from victimizing anyone else".

Trump's tweets unlikely to slow down NY terror case
Overnight Mr Trump tweeted that Sayfullo Saipov, 29 , should be sent to Guantánamo Bay detention camp and get the death penalty. He also told investigators he believed the attack was a success - and he asked to fly the ISIS flag in his hospital room.

Nantucket police said they couldn't confirm a report was filed because sexual assault reports are confidential.

When the actor went to the restroom, a "concerned woman" who had apparently witnessed the alleged groping came to Unruh's son's side and "told him to run", Unruh said.

Joining Unruh at the press conference was her son's attorney, Mitchell Garabedian, who represented numerous victims in the Boston clergy sex abuse scandal.

Allegations of misconduct by Spacey, star of Netflix's House of Cards, began October 29, after actor Anthony Rapp disclosed to Buzzfeed that the Oscar-winner had made sexual advances on Rapp when he was just 14 years old.

"She saw that my son was shaken", Unruh said of the woman. "And shame on you for using your apology to Anthony Rapp to come out as a gay man", Unruh angrily said. "While he has tried his best to deal with it, as he says, it's always there". That was an appalling attempt to deflect attention from what you really are - a sexual predator. "We will continue to work with [production company] MRC during this hiatus time to evaluate our path forward as it relates to the show".

'This isn't a coming out story about Spacey, but a story of survivorship by Anthony Rapp & those who speak out about unwanted sexual advances, ' Ellis tweeted.
