The Partridge Family star David Cassidy is hospitalized and in critical condition.

Cassidy, in an appearance on the talk show "Dr. Phil" earlier this year, opened up about the diagnosis, saying his mother and grandfather also both suffered from dementia.

Cassidy at one point was in an induced coma, but as of Saturday afternoon was "conscious and surrounded by family", a representative told the New York Daily News.

Cassidy entered the hospital earlier this week and is now in need of a liver transplant, his rep said.

The remaining three were Orange County residents who did not visit the park but lived or traveled in Anaheim. The age of the other patients range from 52 to 94, the Orange County Health Care Agency said Friday.

In February, Cassidy revealed he has dementia, prompting him to retire from touring.

The publication claims he "needs a liver transplant soon or he could die".

His family are now said to be at the hospital to be by his side as his condition worsens. "I want to focus on what I am, who I am and how I've been without any distractions". I want to enjoy life'. He made 10 albums for The Partridge Family, as well as more than eight solo albums and 24 singles.
