Savannah McNealy 22 and Tristian Kemp 26

Victims suspect identified in deadly Fort Collins shooting

Zamora was off-duty when the shooting happened, the base statement said. He had been an active military member for nearly nine years, served one deployment and had been at the Wyoming base for just over a year.

Savannah McNealy, 22, was shot in a rampage in Fort Collins' Campus West neighborhood that also left Tristian Kemp, 26, and Michael Zamora, 30, dead and another person wounded but expected to survive. Zamora killed McNealy and Kemp before taking his own life. Police say McNealy was out socializing with a larger group Wednesday night before she and two others were shot.

"The driver dropped them off and drove away before the shooting started", Jones said. Everyone would have loved him. "You know Tristian, he's a true gentleman and he's a peacemaker". The family described Kemp as an "American hero" whom served several tours in Afghanistan. But her Facebook page suggests that she's originally from Denver. Kemp's uncle said that the two also worked together in California as well. The third victim, a woman, was taken to Medical Center of the Rockies for treatment.

CSU planned to hold a vigil in her honor the afternoon of October 20, Frank's statement said.

"The students and professional staff members of Rocky Mountain Student Media are deeply saddened by the passing of Savannah McNealy".

According to the Denver Post, CSU President Tony Frank wrote in an email to students, "I didn't have the pleasure of knowing Savannah personally, but I have talked this afternoon with others who did... and she sounds like an exceptional, bright, energetic, confident, and creative young woman".

On her now-deleted Instagram page, McNealy refers to herself as a "beer enthusiast".
