If Google was planning to scale back its Android Wear ambitions, simply removing it from its store without comment would be pretty freakish. However, if you dig deeper you will find that it is not a casual mistake. Surprisingly only the LG Watch Style and LG Watch Sport are listed on that page.

But it could mean that the smartwatches Google had in its store weren't selling particularly well, and that Wear isn't as important as it once was to Google. But for the time being the future of Android Wear is uncertain, beyond the Android Wear app remaining up-and-running in the Play Store. Also, Google recently rolled out the first Android 8.0 Oreo beta for Android Wear, so it would appear to still be in its plans. "The feedback you provide on the beta will help us identify and fix issues, and make the platforms even better", Google said earlier this week. This leaves us confused as to what Google is further going to do with Android Wear.

If you want to use Play Store app on its latest update, then you want Play Store APK 8.2.58, which is the latest version of the app that is now available for download. Although there is not much visible difference in the current update, a few features such as FAB buttons, Quick Install buttons and Cookbooks have been added.

While everyone is talking about the new hardware launched by Google at it's hardware event yesterday which includes new Pixel smartphones, Pixelbook, Google Home Max etc. Google not only updated it's store for adding new products but also removed an entire category. Net revenue generated from the sales would be around $30.5 billion. The report also indicates that the sales of Android Wear would not be so bad that Google had to shun the devices overnight.
