Witcher 10th anniversary video catches up with Geralt
CD Projekt Red has said that The Witcher 3 would be the last game in the franchise which would star Geralt and the series was indefinitely on a hiatus. Project RED has mentioned in the past that the potential for a fourth Witcher game is definitely there, and with the success of the most recent game, it seems even more likely.
Overall, for Witcher fans it's a lovely feel-good video. Prior to that, the studio was best known for localising video games for the Polish market, first making a splash with bringing Baldur's Gate to the region. Stories weave in and out of one another surprisingly. As she gets of her horse and makes her way inside, we're greeted with characters from across the Witcher series.
And then, on 2015, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was released. The world is organic, dangerous, and fun to explore. Players were immersed in the lands of Velen, Novigrad, and Skellige and playthroughs could go as long as one hundred hours without boredom setting in. Both characters first appeared in DLCs, with Olgierd being introduced in Hearts of Stone and Anna in Blood and Wine. It's interesting that this date is not only of major importance for the video game series, but also for the studio that created it, CD Projekt RED.
On October 26, the popular RPG series will turn ten.
