Forecasts show Hurricane Irma could slam Florida this weekend, and as South Floridians brace for a potentially devastating storm, it's possible that multiple Trump Organization properties could be in its path. Mar-a-Lago could be seen with windows visibly shuttered and boarded up, according to a tweet from WPBF reporter Whitney Burbank. "Please gather the essentials for three to four days, including clothing, medicine, important documents, and communication devices", Palm Beach's evacuation order reads.

The Miami Herald reports that people staying at Mar-a-Lago, which is located in Palm Beach County, are among the estimated 125,000 people being evacuated from that portion of southern Florida. Though the storm was powerful, the AP could only find evidence of some downed trees and missing roof tiles at Mar-a-Lago. According to the National Hurricane Center, that specific type of warning "indicates there is a danger of life-threatening inundation from rising water moving inland from the shoreline somewhere within the specified area, generally within 36 hours".

The structure has existed since 1927, when it was built for Marjorie Merriweather Post, a food industry heiress - Trump later bought the club in 1985 for $5 million.

This place will not move. If it goes, I'll go with it.

President Donald Trump's mansion on the French side of the Caribbean island of St. Martin is on the market for $16.9 million. It has been through multiple hurricanes before, but Irma is an especially strong and risky storm, which could push an enormous amount of seawater onto land. The storm wreaked havoc on Barbuda, where 95 percent of the island's buildings were left damaged Irma.

Florida Highway Safety spokeswoman Beth Frady says troopers escorted trucks from two Florida ports to stations in Marion and Martin counties overnight, and also were escorting trucks from Georgia to stations in Perry, in north central Florida near where Interstate 75 crosses Interstate 10. "We continue to send our thoughts and prayers to victims of Hurricane Harvey and are praying for those that are in the path of Hurricane Irma".

Trump called a state of emergency in Florida, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands Tuesday night.
