Trump Adviser Sebastian Gorka Is Leaving The White House
But the move was still expected to draw criticism from Trump's allies, who view it as the death knell for the populist wing in the White House, making the leak of the news late Friday advantageous for the administration. That stance reversed Trump's campaign pledges to end American involvement there, a shift also cited by Gorka in his parting letter.
"While it is appropriate that President Trump's chief strategist has now returned to Breitbart News, Bannon did not fall out of favor because he emboldens white supremacists, but only because he stole the spotlight from President Trump".
He wrote to Trump: "Regrettably, outside of yourself, the individuals who most embodied and represented the policies that will "Make America Great Again" have been internally countered, systematically removed, or undermined in recent months".
Bannon, a prominent figure in the self-described "alt-right" movement, has been a focal point of controversy after helming Breitbart News - the movement's premier news outlet.
The Democratic campaign committee dedicated to electing members to the House is ratcheting up its rhetoric by referring to three White House advisers as "white nationalists".
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson on Sunday blasted Sebastian Gorka for criticizing President Donald Trump's foreign policy goals, declaring the ex-national security aide is "completely wrong". "As members of the U.S. Congress who care deeply about fighting anti-Semitism at home and overseas, we urge you to immediately dismiss senior White House counterterrorism adviser Sebastian Gorka", the letter said.
"And I realized after the president's speech this week on Afghanistan that he's not being well served", Gorka added.
"I can confirm he no longer works at the White House", the official said.
Gorka, who was born to Hungarian parents in Britain, was said to have had links to hard-right groups in Europe. He made a number of warnings about Islamic terrorism while at Breitbart. This isn't a conspiracy theory, the leader of that group has publicly said that he is a member and he wore one of their medals to the inauguration and to other events as well.
The president spokesman on foreign policy was sacked on Friday following the firing of Steve Bannon and some folks are saying that this is a victory of the globalist and they include you in that group, over the so-called "America first".
