COUNTDOWN The Overwatch Summer Games 2017 is coming
The event also adds 40 new seasonal items to unlock, including all of last year's Summer Games gear.
The brand new Legendary Summer Games 2017 skins coincide with the release of new voice lines and other interesting details.
Overwatch's Summer Games is now live. They come with many new attractive skins for different appearances like Sombra, Widowmaker, Junkart, and Reaper. Players have often complained that these two characters haven't received much attention when it comes to legendary skins, so the addition of these two new skins for the character will likely please fans of the sniper and hacker characters. Blizzard unveiled the new cosmetics on the Overwatch site alongside a new trailer.
Numerous popular legendary skins, emotes and highlight intros are returning in the loot boxes, along with some new ones.
New to this year's Summer Games is the ranked mode in Lucio ball with changes to some core gameplay.
That's compared to returning Legendary skins at 1,000 credits, 2016 Epic skins for 250 credits, last year's Rare tier items for 75 credits and 2016 Common tier items for just 25 credits. Then there is the Copa Lucioball - a competitive playlist with a placement and ranking.
As expected, the skins that are available are a healthy mix of new and old legendary skins, with the skins that made their debut in last summer's event returning again this year.
