An LG source has shown Android Authority an internal document that claims the phone will launch in both the USA and Europe on September 28. The early launch in South Korea shouldn't come as a big surprise. While there weren't any details when LG plans to start selling the V30 in Europe, the report did speculate that it should arrive on September 28, the same date when the device hits the worldwide market.
As expected, the LG V30 will be officially unveiled at LG's August 31 press conference for IFA 2017, which will be held in Berlin from September 1 to September 6.
On the audio front, the LG V30 is expected to progress from the dedicated Quad DAC found in the LG V20 to an all-round upgraded audio experience including a collaboration with B&O, although this could be for specific markets only as with the LG V20 and LG G6.
For those of you who have been following the LG V-series devices, you may know that the phones always featured a secondary display. The circular fingerprint scanner comes to the nearly middle of the device, which is becoming a signature design pattern for LG flagships these days. This is US-only, for now, but rumours suggest this could be a global launch, meaning we could see the phone in Australia around the same time. LG hopes that the LG V30 will be a better challenger to Samsung compared to the LG G6.
Still, all the important elements are there, from a smoothly curved body to slim screen borders, a familiar but lightly revamped rear-facing dual cam setup, circular fingerprint scanner and LG logo. There is no sign of the secondary display like we have been seeing with all the V series smartphones.
The report claims the LG G7 will run Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 845 CPU, which will replace the Snapdragon 845 CPU in 2018. For your reference, Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8 Plus have a f/1.7 aperture, which is considered to be wide enough for a smartphone camera. So for V30 we can expect the same display or may be a 6-inch display. Its expected to come with a Snapdragon 835 CPU and 4GB of RAM.
