Justin Bieber Drops 'Friends,' His First Solo Single of 2017: Listen Here
Even though Justin Bieber just recently cancelled his "Purpose" tour, it hasn't stopped him from releasing new pop music. While "Sorry" was perhaps Bieber's bounciest and most club-friendly dance track on "Purpose", the lower-toned beats on his latest BloodPop collab feel a little more grown-up, which in turn makes it nearly even catchier than "Sorry".
Over the electro-pop hitmaker's dance floor-ready production, Biebs sings about friendship following a breakup.
"Friends" is clearly a catchy tune about a break-up with lyrics like, "No, we didn't end this so good / But you know we had something so good", and "So I'm wondering, can we still be friends?". "Friends" was also co-written with songwriters Julia Michaels and Justin Tranter. / Can we still be friends? So after a couple hours' worth of "Friends" being there for us, how do the two singles stack up for us?
"This single is the first Bieber has released since his objective album track, 'Company.' Earlier this year, he collaborated with David Guetta for the track, "2U", and Luis Fonsi for the hit song 'Despacito".
Justin also sang on DJ Khaled's I'm The One, which topped the United Kingdom singles chart back in May.
A few weeks after cancelling the remaining dates on his goal tour (because he wants his career to be SUSTAINABLE), Justin Bieber dropped a new single today.
Warning: It might get stuck in your head instantaneously. The success of "Despacito" and "The One" rewarded Bieber with the honour of being the first artist ever to tally new number ones on the Hot 100 in consecutive weeks.
Bieber has not released a solo album since 2015's "Purpose", but he has kept himself very busy.
"Me taking this time right now is me saying I want to be SUSTAINABLE", he wrote. Stay tuned with SD Entertainer.
