It's All Happening in the Game of Thrones Season Seven Finale Photos

Emilia Clarke's sleepless nights over Game of Thrones finale

New photos from the upcoming season seven finale, called "The Dragon and the Wolf," showcase the critical first encounter between the King in the North and the current Queen of King's Landing, Cersei Lannister (Lena Headey).

The trailer for the season finale of the HBO hit opens with a shot of Grey Worm (Jacob Anderson) with an army of Unsullied positioned behind him. While the penultimate episode of any Game of Thrones season is usually the craziest, expect plenty of surprises in the season 7 finale, too.

Sharp fans have noted that there were several references to children in the last episode of "Game of Thrones". Cersie and Jaime are sitting together at the big meeting, but they don't exactly look like they're getting along. With Jon heading to King's Landing, it looks as if he won't reunite with Bran or Arya this season. Of course, that happens after the Night King has finally fallen, thanks to the combined effort from Jon, Drogon, Rhaegal, and Jaime, who once again stabs a King- the right one, this time.

The most interesting thing though is not who is featured, but who doesn't make an appearance at all.

This is a theme I've been harping on since I saw the preview, and it became more apparent when the photos also failed to show off anything of Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen. However, some fans are simply looking forward to another flashback sequence that could depict Rhaegar Targaryen's wedding to Lyanna Stark.

It is possible though that the episode title doesn't refer to two characters but one.

Apart from the title of its Season 7, new details from Gamespot revealed that "Game of Thrones" Season 8 which will be aired before the prequels will be as long as a movie. With season 7 being so relatively bloodless for Game of Thrones, especially when it comes to main characters, it's probably safe to say that someone will die in the finale.

One of these questions involves a long-running mystery that will likely continue into the next (and final!) season: Will Jon Snow's full parentage finally be revealed?
