Ruling TDP leading in Nandyal Bypoll
"Congratulations to Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy Garu and our valued NDA ally TDP for the big victory in the Nandyal by-poll".
Accusing the ruling party of misusing the power, Jagan said that YSRCP had to take a step back because TDP retorted forcefully by not only spending 200 crore rupees just for one byelection but also deploying its cabinet in Nandyal. TDP candidate Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy leads over YSRCP with the majority of the votes.
Both the parties put up a bitter fight for the seat because the bypoll was considered a referendum on the Chandrababu Naidu government's performance in the state, besides a prelude to the assembly elections slated for April 2019.
Nandyal By Elections were held on 23rd August.
According to the Newspaper, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had aided in the development of Nandyal by sanctioning funds under AMRUT, the MLC said.TDP cadres celebrated the party victory at Nandyal at the party office here with senior leader C M A Zaheer Ahmed cutting a cake. The move proved to be right for the TDP as he won by a huge margin. YSRCP has nominated Shilpa Chandra Mohan Reddy for the Nandyal Bypoll elections.
So, with Modi himself declaring the TDP as the valued ally of the NDA, there is no way the BJP leadership will sever alliance with the TDP in Andhra!
Tourism Minister Bhuma Akhila Priya, responding on the election result, said that people of the constituency trusted her family. The Nadyal by-election victory is a result of the hard work done by Chief Minister and party president N Chandrababu Naidu for development, TDP (Urban) president and MLA Vasupalli Ganesh Kumar has said.
