Here is video of the incident. The 6-foot-9 Kok, who played college basketball at San Diego, appeared to strike Gallinari in the head with a forearm when boxing him out.
Gallinari reportedly had to go to the hospital to get his hand examined, but the severity of his injury is not yet known. Gallinari will be sidelined for the Eurobasket tournament, however.
But ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Gallinari's injury won't cause him to miss any of the upcoming National Basketball Association season and the Clippers' team doctors still need to evaluate the injury.
Gallinari's new teammate, Blake Griffin, missed significant time in 2016 when he punched a Clippers' equipment manager.
However, most fans only read the "fracture" and "hand" part of that tweet and assumed that Gallinari had fractured his hand and would miss extended time. Rocky Balboa would be proud.
