"I said no! Bad show".
The Trumps and Morning Joe hosts once had a very cozy relationship with Donald giving the MSNBC pair-who became romantically involved and recently got engaged-interviews when he was running for President.
Two US television hosts attacked by Donald Trump on Twitter have questioned his mental health. "We will continue to WIN!" he posted, before ending the day at a rally in Washington that included a similar anti-media barrage.
He also said that the "fake and fraudulent" media is working hard to convince Republicans and others he should not use the social media. Scarborough told RedState he madeNBC executives aware of the phone calls "in real time".
It is with these two journalists, as a couple on screen and in life, that the president Trump was delivered Thursday and Friday are two days altercation by tweets and editorials interposed. "I knew immediately that it was a lie and that they had nothing".
In his latest Twitter attack, Trump said the Morning Joe co-hosts, Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski, were not bad people, just "crazy" and "dumb as a rock" personalities whose show was "dominated by their NBC bosses".
Recently, Mr Trump has escalated his attacks on USA media outlets - which he calls "fake news" - harping on CNN's retraction of a story about his administration's supposed Russian links and assailing cable networks, the New York Times and the Washington Post.
The next day (June 30) he added: "Watched low rated Morning Joe for first time in long time".
Both Democratic and Republican lawmakers condemned Trump's tweets, and some have urged him to stop tweeting altogether.
"I want to say something right now that I did not think was possible anymore", Colbert said at the top of the episode.
Trump also targeted CNN, a frequent punching bag for the president. On Friday night's Real Time, he completely skewered Trump on his tweets.
There was no immediate comment from the National Enquirer, a tabloid that specialises in scandalous stories about celebrities and has been supportive of Mr Trump. In the column, Scarborough and Brzezinski said that White House staffers threatened them, saying they would have to beg Trump to spike a story in the National Enquirer.
Trump had been angered by Brzezinski's criticism of him on the show Thursday and attacked her publicly then, suggesting she had appeared at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida last New Year's Eve asking to get into a party and bleeding from a facelift.
