IPhones to get 'do not disturb while driving' feature

Apple just unveiled iOS 11 and its slew of exciting new features.

For early access to iOS 11 users can download the beta version of the new software here.

Soon, Apple will introduce a new iPhone feature that will do away with that annoying- and risky urge to look at a text message while you're driving. The new OS comes with an array of updates and features that promise to take iOS devices to the next level. The beta of iOS 11 is available only to developers right now, but dark mode will come to everyone when the new version is publicly launched this fall. Apple's iPhones will now be able to read NFC tags and read messages that contain NDEF data. Apple says APFS makes common operations such as copying files and directories instantaneous, helps protect data from power outages and system crashes, and keeps files safe and secure with native encryption. Thankfully, towards the end of the iOS 11 portion of the keynote, Apple displayed a slide that detailed more features. Now that we're at iOS 11, did Apple just granted one of its community's biggest wishes? Contacts can receive an automatic reply saying that you are driving and will get back to them once you arrive. By integrating Apple Pay functionality into what is perhaps the most used iOS app on the planet, Apple is making this new person to person payment feature something of a Trojan Horse. "Like never before, games and apps can offer fantastically immersive and fluid experiences that are out of this world, yet virtually within it".

The trend-setting company also is putting new twists on existing products as it delves deeper into virtual reality and a form of artificial intelligence called machine learning. During Jobs' last decade, Apple introduced the iPod, iPhone and iPad - all huge commercial successes that both reshaped daily life and swamped previous digital music players, smartphones and tablets. Google Glass was a poor implementation that was years ahead of its time, but this type of product will indeed proliferate in the years ahead.
