The Emmy-nominated actress passed away Thursday night, according to her representatives. There is now no information available as to the cause of her death.

More recently, Headly was on HBO's "The Night Of", playing the lawyer who represents Riz Ahmed's collegiate murder suspect. The film won three Oscars: two in technical categories and one for Stephen Sondheim for Best Original Song for "Sooner or Later (I Always Get My Man)", sung by the Material Girl. On TV, she was in the miniseries "Lonesome Dove" and had recurring roles on "ER" and "Monk". She was now in production on the Hulu series Future Man and the executives of that series were told of her passing.

Devastated to hear about Glenne Headly's passing. "We ask that her family's privacy be respected in this hard time".

She met her first husband, actor John Malkovich, at the company in 1982. At the time of her death, she'd been shooting Future Man, an upcoming Hulu series about a janitor (The Hunger Games' Josh Hutcherson) tasked with protecting humans from extinction, from producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.

Glenne - who was 63 at the time of her passing - was soon remembered by her co-star, Steve Martin.

Next to an image of a sunset from his home state of Kentucky, Hutcherson wrote, "I only knew the talented, empathetic, loving, lovely Glenne Headly for a short time".

She went on to remarry Byron McCulloch, whom she married on 25 August 1993. If you were a moviegoer in the late '80s and '90s, she was a familiar face, frequently popping up in Hollywood fare.
