Mbappe suggested Monaco's attacking tactics and their teamwork have been the decisive factors in the Ligue 1 leaders making it to the semi-finals of the Champions League for the first time since 2003-04, when they lost to Porto in the final.

However, they would have to get a much-needed result at the Stade Louis II which is not easy.

Spanish giants Barcelona were knocked out of the Champions League as Italian champions Juventus held out for an away 0-0 draw at the Camp Nou to reach the semi-finals 3-0 on aggregate.

Dortmund were earlier left unimpressed by their delayed arrival, which the Bundesliga club said in a post on Twitter was because the bus had been stopped by police "for approximately 20 minutes without justification".

Thomas Tuchel has admitted his Borussia Dortmund side simply weren't up to scratch as they crashed out of the Champions League.

"The bus was supposed to depart at 7.15pm".

"Our attitude has not changed, despite the first leg".

The France global then took his reputation to new heights at Signal Iduna Park where he scored either side of half-time to secure a 3-2 victory before scoring again at the Stade Louis II.

"We are the smallest team, but we will fight in the two games".

Dortmund manager Thomas Tuchel hit out at Uefa after the first leg, insisting his players need more than the 22-hour postponement but spoke this week of his players' readiness to compete this week.

He added: "Now when I look at my wrist, swollen and badly hurt, you know what I feel?"

"We are very pleased to have taken Monaco to the semi-finals".

Teenager Kylian Mbappe pounced from close range to increase Monaco's advantage after three minutes and Radamel Falcao headed in soon after to all but put the tie beyond Dortmund. We are ready for the game and focused.

"Our rivals will want to be drawn to meet us, but our ambition is to enjoy it and play with our attacking qualities like we always do". This can be an essential outcome but nothing has been valued and we ought to value our principles, like since first of the season.
