'The Big Bang Theory' Has Been Renewed For Two More Seasons

CBS Announces Two Year Broadcast Agreement for THE BIG BANG THEORY

Last year, The Big Bang Theory Season 10 was rumored to be the last for the CBS show.

The original five have been earning $1 million an episode for the past three seasons. It is unclear if the show ends with 12 seasons. But according to reports they will each take a cut of around $100,000 per episode in order to increase Bialik and Rauch's salaries.

As it stands, both shows will air simultaneously, with Young Sheldon planned for release in 2018. Do you think The Big Bang Theory TV series will continue sans Rauch and Bialik's?

The sitcom is in its 10th season and negotiations to agree on a renewal with Warner Bros. had been ongoing for months. That would bring up their salaries to somewhere between $400,000 to $500,000 per episode, up from their current salary of $175,000 per episode.

Deadline confirmed that Bialik and Rauch have not yet signed their respective contracts because their co-stars' offer hasn't been approved by the network executives yet. You don't see many TV shows go on to improve its ratings and become a stronger force the longer it is on the air. A user went as far as urging to kill off the lead character and commented, "The Big Bang Theory was just renewed for *two* more seasons, I'm exhausted of TBT, kill Sheldon!" The show risks a change in the storyline if they do not come back, given that Bernadette and Howard are already married. But y'know what? We're gonna let Big Bang Theory have this one.

THE BIG BANG THEORY has earned critical acclaim and award recognition.

The Big Bang Theory's two-year renewal comes just after the announcement that the spinoff, Young Sheldon, was definitely being picked up by the network.
