"I am the weapon", he says, one of those lines that looks better on a paneled comics page than it sounds on a screen.

Wenham: I think it's pretty clear that the narrative, and I can't talk about the previous [Marvel series, has] some similarities from the comic book and other points are particularly new. The fourth in a series of Netflix shows from the comic creator, it is created to set up the final piece of the quartet for The Defenders team, a crossover series coming soon. In Trump's America, do we really need the rich, white savior as our next Marvel superhero series?

Iron Fist arrives tonight.

In Iron Fist, the passport identifies Danny Rand (Finn Jones) as a Canadian and not a New Zealander.

Netflix's Marvel shows are starting to wear out their welcome.

Iron Fist Supposed To Be About?

Rand has a strong ally in his corner: Colleen Wing, played by Jessica Henwick, who - at least in the comics - comes from a family of samurai warriors and operates her own martial arts dojo.

That might matter less if Iron Fist centered on the supernova-bright movie-star charisma that has saved a lot of Marvel output. Now he's responsible for what happened to K'un-Lun, and if Iron Fist returns for a Season 2, he's going to have to deal with that.

Finn, 28, responded to critics on Twitter following his casting as a martial arts expert who wields a mystical force known as the Iron Fist.

And it may be through Cage that Iron Fist can be saved.

After their time together at Marvel, Gammill pursued a career in Hollywood as a special effects/concept artist, while Duffy's subsequent credits included runs on Catwoman and Glory, and adapting Naruto for Viz. "It has to be able to stand alone, but also has to advance the macro story". Daredevil would've broken each and every bone in dude's hand just for living! Packing up her office quicker than The Good Fight's Diane Lockhart, Tara goes into business for herself, using a local café as an office-conjuring memories of my favorite bowling-alley lawyer, Ed-and taking on one of her more endearingly offbeat young clients (Brahm Gallagher, in Russell Tovey mode) as an employee. Will you watch the series? All 13 episodes of the first season of Iron Fist are now on Netflix to stream.

That's not to say the show is without highlights. It largely depends on how well the show does.

So let's say you want to make a superhero show.

Dog Brother and Bride of the Nine Spiders actually become opponents during a fight in the Iron Fist comic as part of the tournament between the seven capital cities. You can try and widen the scope, telling stories that wouldn't have been seen as doable even five years ago, and have people flock to it. The characters also are all outsiders who don't particularly function well with others. With Ghost Rider being properly introduced in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Very exciting. Then, you know, got the job, and here we are. "We're spending many billions of dollars on the titles we're producing and licensing, and with these big catalogs, that just adds a challenge".

Danny Rand returns to civilization 15 years after suffering through an airplane accident with his parents, in which they were considered dead. Enraged, Davos would spend years trying to steal Danny's Iron Fist power - but as of yet, the Netflix series' new Davos has different motives.
