Copa America preview: Venezuela vs. Uruguay on Thursday

Venezuela's Salomon Rondon right scores a goal past Uruguay's Fernando Muslera during the first half of a Copa America Group C soccer match Thursday

The Copa America Centenario rumbles on tonight, with Group C pairing off into all-CONCACAF and all-CONMEBOL games.

Uruguay and Venezuela are set to square off in a critical Group C matchup in Philadelphia. Guillermo Ochoa perhaps holds an edge over Alfredo Talavera because the Malaga goalkeeper is better with his feet, though the Toluca man's aerial prowess could see him retain the starting role.

"More than anything, we must defend as a team", Hernandez said through an interpreter.

"I've got a good idea about the team I will pick and the situation we're in".

"Our game in previous tournaments has been based on counter attack".

"Yesterday and today we worked on tactical training and what we have to do against Mexico".

The Reggae Boyz have yet to gain any point so far after suffering defeat at the hands of Venezuela, 0-1.

A draw or win would also move El Tri to 21 games undefeated, which would equal the record for the national team.
